The Magnolia Manor P-Patch giving garden donated 57 pounds of produce to the Ballard food bank today, May 19th, 2025. Two boxes of Pac Choy, one box of lettuce and one box of mustard greens are shown in the photo. Not shown but harvested was one large container of Kale and one of lettuce. All these plants came from Maple Leaf Sprouts on April 19th, one month ago, see the photo of the Sprouts. The seeds were planted in the Maple Leaf greenhouse about February 19th, two months ago. This is an example of how Sprouts provides a head start with healthy plants for the giving gardeners and how the gardeners grow and donate them to the food banks.
